HDR Brachytherapy Venezia Cervix Applicator Specialists meet in Brisbane

Genesis CancerCare at the Wesley Hospital hosted a breakfast meeting with the cervix cancer specialists who treated the first HDR Brachytherapy Venezia cervix case in Asia Pacific.

The product specialist from Holland, Eylem Arikan, ran through the design process for this advanced gynaecological applicator available at The Wesley. The team provided feedback on the easy use of the applicator and discussed future developments in cervical cancer treatment. Attendee’s at the breakfast were Dr Nicola Lowrey (Genesis CancerCare Radiation Oncologist), Dr Olivia Bigault (Genesis CancerCare Radiation Oncologist), Dr Andrea Garrett (Gynaecological Oncologist), Dr Robyn Cheuk (Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Radiation Oncologist), Candice Deans (Genesis CancerCare Brachytherapy Services Manager), Eylem Arikan (Elekta Product Manager), Kirsten Bell (Elekta Brachytherapy Product Specialist) and Ben Moore (Elekta Sales Manager)
